The last 2 weeks has been busy. I’ve been working on my Space Wolves for LVO, helping Darklink with an Eldar army that we’re giving away at my upcoming tournament, and helping another friend try out a color scheme for his Dark Eldar army. Add in the upcoming Harlequin release, moving our club into our new game room, work, and family, and there hasn’t been much time for getting in games.
Being a 49ers fan, I casually watched the big game today. This allowed me to finish assembling my Whirlwind Scorpius, finish kitbashing my Rune Priest on bike and lay down some color on a Wraithknight and five Wraithguard. Pictures follow in no particular order.
The Scorpius is a relic, so I figured that symbology fitting a relic was appropriate. I used the alternate nose icon off the Stormfang (sanded down to fit flush) on the rear hatch.
The front is similiar to the Scorpius in the Forgeworld book. The center icon comes from a backpack standard. I cut the pole off and sanded the back down to sit flush. Not having the etched brass symbols they used on the same model, I went back to the stormfang kit and grabbed two wolf heads to use on either side.
Looks great, those green elder are going to look sick!
Thanks Brooks. Gordon AKA Darklink has done 90% of the work. I’m just helping out with some airbrushing. But yeah, I think they will turn out quite nice.
Haha, I have been checking in on this blog every few weeks for a long time. I just realized who you are peter. It’s a small world after all.
I just wish I had more time to post tutorials. Instead I find it’s getting harder to post even updates on what I have going on. Thanks for coming back to check in.
Love the variety of projects in this post. Airbrush colors are lovely. I love that green! Hopefully will be checking some of these guys out at the LVO!
Greg, I’ll be there with my game club, the Mercy Killers. Just look for a really tall guy with a huge Crux Terminatus on the back of his shirt. If it’s not me, it will be one of my friends.
Will do. I’ll be the guy playing with ork walkers. I’m sure there is only one insane person in the entire 40k gaming community who only plays with just ork walkers. 🙂
If there is two, I hope to meet him!
